United Christian Academy
Serving Mid-County Since 1977
Founded in 1977 by Bishop B.H. McCoy, United Christian Academy was established to provide a Christian curriculum and environment for the children of First Pentecostal Church and the surrounding community.
Â
What began with just 24 students has grown into a school with decades of continuous operation — never closing its doors, even through hurricanes that displaced the church itself. A new campus is currently being built to house future growth.

Today, United Christian Academy continues to operate from the church's Nederland campus, carrying forward the same mission it was founded on: providing families with a quality Christian education rooted in faith, character, and academic excellence.

United Christian Academy serves students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, using a combination of Abeka and ACE curriculum to provide a strong academic foundation rooted in biblical truth.
Â
Beyond the classroom, UCA students compete in basketball and volleyball, music, dramatics and so much more, representing the school each year at the Ignite Apostolic Student Convention alongside other Christian schools from across the region as well as a host of other ministry and leadership developing conferences and experiences.
